A LOVE AFFAIR CONTINUES - HAAD SAI NOI BEACH - KHAO TAO VILLAGE

Nearly 20 years have
passed since my first stroll along my own private Thai beach where
not another soul could be found - aside from a few cows grazing in a beach front pasture.
Miraculously, enchanting Khao Tao Village's Haad Sai Noi Beach is
still a peaceful retreat from the world, even though these days the cows are long gone and people have definitely discovered my secret beach of years past.
Located on the outskirts of enchanting Khao Tao Village, 10 minutes drive south of Hua Hin, Haad Sai Noi is still a perfect place for a relaxing day inside a quiet corner of Thailand. On the weekends, there are masseuses available for hire on the beach and drinks and food are available every day.
My family's love affair with Khao Tao and Haad Sai Noi runs four generations deep. My grandparents took up part time residence on a beach front property nearly 5 decades ago and over time bought several other properties in Khao Tao, lending their support to the local community in a number of charitable projects.
As a young girl, my mother Khun Janchai Pipatpan would spend many days at Haad Sai Noi and even managed to convince her parents to purchase property along the road to Haad Sai Noi. She proudly recalls the story of how even as a young teenager her power of persuasion was quite remarkable.
In the past year, my mother has once again taken up residence in Khao Tao while over-seeing the building of her newest home on idyllic Khao Tao Resevoir. The house is in a perfect location on the lake front and only a short 5 minutes walk to Haad Sai Noi Beach. Undoubtedly, her extremely grateful children and grandchildren will carry on the love affair with Khao Tao for many generations to come.
